As a nurse, you have unique and powerful gifts within that are tools for healing and promotion of health and wellness.
A nurse’s way of being can be considered medicine.
In the busyness of your work and life, however, it is easy to overlook and perhaps even forgot or become disconnected from what these gifts are and how they are helping, supporting, and guiding your patients, clients, and families toward healing. Sometimes the gifts are known, yet are not shared or expressed, for a plethora of reasons.
Do you shut off your self-expression in your role as nurse? Do you dim your light for fear of outshining others? Do you feel or know things others may not understand? Do you feel like you’re hiding your truest self as a nurse? Do you do something really well, but don’t share this gift with others? These are just a few of the questions that can be explored in this workshop that offers an opportunity to discover, gather, claim, and honour your unique medicine.
Becoming aware of, remembering, and choosing to claim your gifts is a path to feeling connected again to your essence as a nurse. Expressing and living out these gifts can be medicine for your patients, clients, and families.
Your Medicine Basket is a part two of a three part self-care for nurses series. Workshops can be taken separately or as a package. Click here to learn more.
