A good half of the art of living is resilience

Life is full of challenges and these challenges sometimes show up as wild storms with the potential knock us down. A health crisis, job loss, death of a loved one, end of a relationship, or some other kind of loss or high- stress event can leave us feeling damaged and vulnerable. We may even powerless, alone, confused, afraid and anxious -  like we are unable to survive it in some way.

The emotions we experience in these difficult times, like real storms, are natural, intense, and they also come and go. Our ability be present with and get through the storm, brings us into direct relationship with our resiliency.

Just as the trees need strong winds to grow deeper roots and strengthen their ability to stand in future storms, perhaps we do too.

What if we could experience life’s challenges as invitations to grow deeper roots of awareness of our own “heartwood” and of what we need to fortify our roots?

In this workshop you will:

  • Experience connection in the safety of the Red Thread Circle where you can be witnessed in sharing what is on your heart.

  • Be guided through a visualization to engage your intuitive wisdom within and connect to your inner strength – your “heartwood”.

  • Work with the image of a tree and its roots in a symbolic way, exploring what you need to support and fortify your resilience.

  • Grow your self-awareness and honour your resiliency using Intentional Creativity –  a process of combining inquiry, active imagining, writing, and painting as you reflect on the wisdom gained through difficult times.

  • Gain valuable tools for strengthening your ability to weather life’s storms.
